Wye Valley Campers is a family run business based in Hereford. With 27 years of experience in the motor
trade, Wye Valley Campers was conceived back in the summer of 2010 when we bought Colonel Mustard as a
project to restore and use ourselves. After a bad experience with another camper van hire company in a
different part of the UK and with constant breakdowns ruining our holiday, we decided that it would be
great to offer other people the experience & fun of camping in a genuine 1980's VW campervan, without the breakdowns!
At the time we were operating out of our sister company Hereford Car Body in the town of Hereford,
where a full nut and bolt restoration, including full mechanical rebuild, was undertaken on Colonel
Mustard. Our other VW camper van, Miss Scarlett, arrived with us in the autumn of 2011. Not needing quite as
much work as Colonel Mustard, after a spruce up, full inspection and service she also found herself
exploring the Wye Valley when the company launched in the summer of 2012.
After a quick search for Wye Valley Campers with a domain names company we decided upon
wyevalleycampers.com in the autumn of 2010. The choice of name was very fitting we thought, as the
stunning Wye Valley is on our door step and in our opinion, is some of England's most beautiful
countryside.
We also thought that the letters WV and C could be made into an interesting logo, as an adaptation
of the VW emblem.
With a personal interest in old VW camper vans we can provide advice and a restoration service for
VW camper vans of all ages.
Best wishes and happy camping,
Nick, Sarah, Joe, Jess, James & Nelson
